Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Full Time or Part Time Licensed Veterinarian Technician to join the team. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the Veterinarian and aide to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. Responsibilities
- All aspects of veterinary care (i.e., surgery, pre- and post-operative care, emergency care, restraint and treatment).
- Animal restraint, including working with large dogs (over 70 pounds).
- Animal treatment (i.e. nursing care, injections, fluid therapy, etc.).
- Venipuncture, IV catheters, intubation, Anesthesia
- Effectively work as a team member with other shelter staff.
- Inventory and order supplies in conjunction with shelter manager.
- Paperwork and keeping detailed records of surgeries performed.
- Disinfecting and sanitizing clinic and equipment routinely.
- Maintaining and cleaning clinic and equipment routinely.
- Other duties to assist staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician or in a similar role
- Knowledge of animal care and handling
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
- Patience and a love for animals

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
